Dry containers can range from $99 to $144 dependent on size and specials.

The dry container use to be available in oz, but it didn't take long to realize the machine didn't grind grains efficiently in a 64 oz container packed full, compared to a 32 oz container. So the 32 oz dry is only sold as 32 oz.

What is a Dry Container
​

Essentially a dry container is important if you'd like to grind coffee, grains, herbs, spices and etc.  Do you need one? It depends, I use to talk people out of the dry container. Most grains can be handled by a wet. If it's a smelly herb, or makes scratches, smells or colors, like coffee beans, I'd recommend one. Even then, coughing up around $144 can be a stretch.  Special road shows will sell the dry for $99. Amazon includes shipping is much cheaper than vitamix.com!
